We invite research contributions to the Security, Privacy, and Trust track at the 32nd edition of The Web Conference series (formerly known as WWW), to be hosted at Austin, TX, US, on April 30 - May 4, 2023 ( /www2023/)

As the Web has grown to be an integral part of our lives, security, privacy, and trust have become essential requirements without which the Web cannot function. Security, privacy, and trust technologies are fundamental for performing most Web transactions and they must be usable by a highly diverse population of users. At the same time, the sheer success of the Web platform has made it a ripe target for abuse by hostile parties, who will exploit both technical and human failures to compromise systems and steal private and financial information.

This track offers researchers working on security, privacy, and trust the opportunity to present their work to the broad community of researchers with a myriad backgrounds and interests who will be attending the 2023 Web Conference.

Relevant topics include, but are not limited to, the following areas:

Authors should consult the conference’s main Research Track CFP to ensure their submissions are aligned with broader conference expectations, scope, and theme: “Web Research with Openness, Fairness and Reproducibility”. The CFP also details submission guidelines, relevant dates, and important policies.

Submissions that are out of scope or unresponsive to the call above will be rejected early during the reviewing process (“desk rejected”) with minimal feedback. Please note that out of scope (non web-related) papers will be desk-rejected. You can refer also to the general call for papers (/www2023/research-track.html): "submissions that merely use one or another Web artifact — e.g., a dataset or a Web Application Programmer Interface (API) or a social network — rather than answering a specific Web-related scientific research challenge, are out of scope of the conference and will be rejected early during the reviewing process".

In case you have doubts whether your paper fits the scope of this track, please contact the track chairs: security-thewebconf2023@easychair.org
